Welcome to the Learning Zone where we hope that you will find the sessions and their materials relevant, current and comprehensive. The aims of each session are to define learning objectives and ensure the candidate has the opportunity to engage in an interactive manner with the outlined expert opinion. These sessions are designed to compliment the ISCP curriculum and facilitate and meet the needs of individual learning styles.
[+] Getting the most out of the learning zone
Sessions are grouped according to topic within the Sections of Otology, Rhinology & Head and Neck Surgery. Within these sections the major topics are divided into the subspecialty recognised sub sections.
In order to get the most out of the learning zone it is advised that you establish a basic knowledge of the subject prior to commencement of the session, the illustrated information has been developed to a high standard and should enhance your existing knowledge of the topic. The referenced materials outlined by the author are to compliment the materials should you wish to read further around the topic.
The aim of the learning objectives is to guide your learning and set parameters against which you can measure your progress. These will be tested in the formative assessments within the sessions. The advantage of the learning zone is that you can revisit sessions at a later date and ensure that you are improving on your original scores.
[+] Understanding your training needs
The ISCP curriculum has informed the design of this project. Whilst not every aspect of the curriculum has been directly addressed, your educational needs should be met, if undertaken as a component part of your training. It is not envisaged that the project will replace any existing component part of your training.
[+] Training corner
We hope to develop in the future individualised training pathways for you to tailor your individual learning styles to the materials available.
